ADSL providers Mon, 22 December 2003 06:56 Go to next message
heys guys -

looking to hit broadband soon - and need some ideas of what people are on + what they pay

Dial up is shitting me to tears - so off its going Smile

What do people pay per month for their services and what does that entitle them to per month in download/uploads , and in what speeds ?

Internode - $100/month 24gig premium 512/128, free content, gameservers, upload not counted

For the same price you can also get Flaterate which has no download limits so you cant get billed excess.

My office used IHUG ADSL. $99.95 per month 512/128 unlimited but I don't think I can get that deal again.
I'll be going with TPG for my home connection

I'll second swiftel.
If you only want a small download limit They have 1 gig for $35 a month and 4 gig for $45 a month. I'm paying $40 for the 4 gig bacause I joined before the price went up. Both at 256/64 of course.
They are increasing their download limits all the time for no extra charge(mine was 3 gig when I joined 3 months ago) and only charge $5 a gig excess. Customer service has been great and I've never had connection probs since I joined.
See hks pete if you want to join as he got in 1st. If you are referred by a current user, both people get $15 credit and If you sign 10 people up you get A free 512/128 plan for 2 years!!!

Try Possums - www.possums.net.au

I get 512/128K unlimited ADSL for $99.95/mth through them.... they are quite fast and will provide a bunch of extra email addresses if you ask them

I highly recommend them... I have never seen the network down or running slow and their service is top notch. A lot more personal than most ISP's these days. They mainly deal business to business but check out their home ADSL plans

Check the pricing PDF for home usershere

Internode. $99/month unlimited 512/128.

Simply because I couldn't live with a monthly limit.
