dash - what to use on it.

well my ta22 actually has an uncracked dash pad (from new)
thats right - NO cracks. i still can't believe it
accordingly armour all has silicone in it and destroys the dash and will cause it to crack if not continually re-applied
i've heard of using baby oil on it too.
can anyone recommend what to put on the thing?

I've heard leather conditioners work as well but I'm unsure of this.

Tell me more about the theory behind the "Armour All" conundrum - once you apply it once, you have to keep reappyling it? I'm starting to think my slackness in cleaning car interiors suddenly isn't such a bad thing?! Should it prove substancial, I'd simply suggest soapy water and a paint brush or rag - doesn't dry sticky, and won't attrack crap - at the end of the day you're cleaning a plastic surface.

i have been using the meguiars leather/vinyl cleaner/shine stuff for ever and it is brilliant! $14.95 from your local parts shop! just picked up an uncracked crash pad for my ke10 (yes OLD!) and a quick clean with soapy water then a few hours of soaking this stuff into it and it looks brand new. same with window rubbers. dont use armour all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

baby oil will film the inside of your windscreen as it evaporates from our lovely sun, and oil like that doesn't come off too easy with windex. it's metho or nuthin baby.
mind you, always handy to have a bottle of baby oil on hand when you're out with the ladies.....win some, lose some i s'pose....

I personally give the Maguires the thumbs up! It smells good too (well better than armour all anyway)
