I didn't think the Wilwood calipers were legal for road use in Australia, or is that only some of them?

In any event, that's an engineers wet dream.

$1200 US... Not cheap, but for what it is not too bad either.
I figure this Nissan 4 spot upgrade im working on wont come out of much change from 1k.
If it was all legal, would be thinking some AE86 struts in the RA28

i think we need a standard brake upgrade for the ae86 for everyone.
yes they do look extremely nice but notice the brackets for the brake caliper mount - very interesting.
anyone know if those rotors are interchangable with a ta22?

The nissan 4-spot upgrade is still a good option. i just finished the upgrade on my ae86 and it only cost me about $700 including the discs calipers and billet steel hubs, it was a pretty easy upgrade and was a very easy 5-stud conversion to match my hiace rear end. now i can use 5x114.3 rims allround and skyline rims are the perfect offset.but you could always redrill the discs and hubs to 4 stud

Mate do you have more info about this? As I have a set of Nissan 300zx 4 spots sitting at home and matching rotors.

Yup they are identical.
Some questions that come to mind..
Did you use r32 rotors? If so, how'd you go mounting them over the face of the hub and not behind the hub like standard?
Was it hard to make brackets to mount the caliper to the original caliper mounting points?
Many thanks!

the conversion uses ra40 struts,r32discs and custom billet hubs.the disc slides over the hub and has the right offset so that the ra40 caliper brackets can be easily modified.

Who made up the hubs for you? So do you have to make a new bracket for the caliper or the ra40 is spot on?

I've jsut been working on mine the last couple of days, using Nissan 4 spots (r33), r33 GTR V spec (brembo) rotors, 5 stud conversion, etc. All up cost actually hasn't been very much so far, but unfortunately I can't comment on how well they work for a few weeks yet as I don't have my car going again yet. I'll hopefully have some pics in the next few days to share with you all though

They don't have rubber boots over the pistons for a start, ADR's require the boots. They're really for race use only. However I know of a few guys using them on the road without a problem. You need to be prepared to rebuild them if you do a lot of dirt driving or drive in shit a lot.
FYI the calipers shown are Dynalite, $350 each, discs are worth $300 - $400 a pair.
