i think its just the breed of the beast mate. best mod is to install a thermostat controlled fan, so it cools the water down to a certain temp even after the car is off. Other mod if you're real worried, and plan to keep the car, is to cut fins in the bonnet..like a ra23?

yeah i was wondering the same thing with my ma70.
I was worried how hot my engine bay was after driving it, but after awhile i've come to the conclusioin that these high performance engines just run really hot.
Still tho i wanted to be safe, so i wired up a button in the dash that turns the radiator fans on and off, without taking away the cars control of the fans. my digital dash temp gauge is always at the half way mark, sometimes one bar above, sometimes one bar below, so i just hope it's in the safe enough range.

maybe you can also try putting a few spacers at back of your bonnet to raise it up a little bit and let some more air flow through.. I've read that this can lead to cabin temps going up a little bit but if you've got air con it shouldn't be a problem and if you don't, well you're going to be bloody hot anyway

Long as everythings working fine, your only options are to do things like ceramic coat the turbo, manifold and dump pipe, as well as install a big bonnet vent. Turbo engine bays are always hot after a good drive, and much worse is they're tight ones (e.g. Z32 300ZX)

Its the 7m mate. After a drive you can stand away from the car and its like a furnace, i'm worried about paint burning off!
I've ceramic coated turbo, manifold, exhaust wrapped dump pipe all the way to the cat double layered, wrapped intercooler pipes and everything else possible and it still doesn't help.
Coolant temps run between 86C(cool winter) up to 92C in summer on 40deg day, i read them through the micotech.

yep just a 'feature' of the engine.. you wannt see how hot the 1JZ gets !! makes the 7M seem cold.
You can try the aircon fan cooler mod, which helps in hot weather. details on sogi..

There is a strip of rubber at the bottom/back of the bonnet. Its only held on by little plastic pins.
Take the rubber off and more air escapes. Helped me.
