Whats the best way to remove the underseal/sound deading off the floor of the car?
Heat Gun?
Screw Driver, hammer and sand paper?

Oxy torch and scraper 
Just make sure you don't value too much else around the place e.g. paintwork 
Or you can even go to the work of stripping your whole car to a shell, and getting it dipped in acid, removes anything that you didn't

Do what i did, go for a drive up to the Watagans fly around on the dirt tracks then hit a big f**king rock, made mine all crack off into big bits but the side affect is the holes and dints in the floor
