XBOX - Is the BEAST pack worth buying ?

How much are these things nowadays ?
I saw the beast pack for $338 but no shops are open so i cant really call them to get prices on the individual items... such as
Console ?
1 x Control ?
1 x DVD remote control ?

Auburn Megamart has refurbished boxes for $180, some come with a controller.
You just go and grab and your able to check in the boxes to see what they have and what model it is.
The ones with the samsung drive seem to be the pick, duno why though.
Im yet to buy one but im already hooked on the game Topspin, it rocks

 i bought one of them Beast packs, rather pleased with what i got. specially compared to how much my mate paid for his x-box and one controller last year...

Hell yeah i bought mine about 2 weeks ago. I think its 318 at Big W. So go to harvey norman. (Beat any retail price by 10%?) Hopefully u can get it for sub 300 bux. Spare control = 50 bux.
Dvd remote is 60 bux. Games u can trade in at Electronics boutique. They're not that bad. Mod chip it for 100 bux. And u'r laughing! The games do sell for 70 bux a piece Brute force and Midtown madness 3. 140+60+50+(Price for normal xbox) And 2 months of xbox live! Its good! Buy 1!

Hmm at megamart on wednesday they were 50 bux. I'm pretty sure the remote is 50 and controller is 60.
Yeah 120gb hdd in your xbox should hold ALL the latest titles n all the games worth even playing. The majority of games are between 1gb to 3gb rarely bigger.
Pretty expensive thing to buy in the long run though.
320= Beast pack
100= Mod chip
150+= 120GB hard disk
Some people who do mod chips will charge a bit extra for the hard drive mod. I've been told its 30 bux extra. But i did mine myself. Its partition based.
Anyway I think 70% of the people that do xbox mods in melboune will give u an OPTION. Of writing down a list of games. And they will copy it right over to the hard disc before installing it. Pretty good eh? Its usually included with the chip+hdd mod so its well worth your few bux extra.
