Are u serious Rob??
BLOODY HELL thats quicker than i thought...
I was thinking slightly slower than a Corolla sx... Around the 9.3 second mark..
But DAMN 8.6 seconds is AWESOME FOR ME...
I've been lookin all over the net for the 0-100 times..
Rob do u have the torque figures in NM, and the horsepower etc...
I heard the 1/4 mile times are around the 16.5 mark??

Hey,
I got a few copies of "Wheels Magazine" from around 1986 to 1988.
The power is 103Kw @ 6000rpm and torque is 173Nm @ 4800rpm.
Acceleration was tested as :
0-60km/h 4.7 seconds
0-100km/h 9.7 seconds
400metres 16.5 seconds
0-160km/h 27.2 seconds
Max Speed 205km/h @ 6600rpm
Oran Park Lap time 57.61 seconds.
Still they are a fun drive even if people think you're a hairdresser
Cheers

Still thats pretty good,
The 1/4 mile times are pretty impressive,
A Corolla SX does it in about 16.7 and has a 0-100 of about 9.3 seconds, but the added torque of the 2 litre 3sge in the celica sx is able to keep up...
Just as an idea, say if someone was to do zorst, cold air intake, and extractors, how much would the 1/4 possibly jump up to?

that is the best part about them people think they're a slow hair dressers car but are soon put back in their place when viewing the rear end of the car (in alot of cases) or see you next to them!

don't know about times with those mods. you have to do them, then go to a 1/4 mile drag meet and get timed ,so long as your nice and quick on your launch you should get a pretty accurate time for the rest of us to go off

Well to get a good launch i will need more grip, and probally some slicks. I can drop the clutch and it will hold(its a bit heavy) but the wheels will spin a bit too much.

yeah rob, yeah rob
Draza man your lucky, if I drop my clutch my tyres grip really well, not much wheelspin BUT my clucth slips to fuckin no end, don't no how much clutch I had left, so when I put this new box of yours in I am gonna try and get something awsome, either 5 puck, twinplate, or custom build.
Draza what kinda clutch do you use, did you get that 5 puck rebuilt that came with your engine?

i got a Brand new Heavy duty ceramic clutch, i was going to get the 5 puck brass button redone but it was going to cost only slightly less than a new one, and i thought it would be a lil to hard to drive in traffic with the BBC.
