i think it will be held at the same motel as last time,

date, 9th - 12th of april, the whole easter weekend,

i dont think the events have been sorted out AS YET, but im pretty sure the show'n'shine will be at dubbo toyota same as last time.

if the drags are held which is pretty likely, then id say they would be at the same drag strip as before,

aaaaaaaaaaanyways, id need to get some rock solid info before talking about any other events, ie motorkhana....

cheers chris

Want to try to get there this year.
There were some great stories from last year & I haven't been to Dubbo since I moved to Sydney from Moree.
Still sounds like a place where you have to make you're own fun.

the organzing crew book out a motel for the event! its a pretty nice little place called matildas, not too steep, pretty comfy sorta place, last year they had the pricings and what not on the registration form.

of course if you have an alternative place to stay thas all good as well..

a few of us canberra people stayed at a place just out side of town. was really good.. like a property with heaps of rooms and stuff... the best part about it was there were no people next door to annoy. so we made as much noise as we wanted.. had a bit of a bonfire, and did burnouts in the paddock! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

i'll try to keep the easter weekend booked out - but for me it would a longish tour from BNE down the new england highway then the oxley highway from tamworth on the wed/thursday - all up is >1700Km round-trip for me Shocked

i suppose dubbo will be too cold during easter for camping out? is the YHA any good? or should i aim for a motel?

also, would NSW have double demerit points that weekend? it would be a shame to come with: monster hangover, no money, no tread on the rear tyres and a whoping great fine from the RTA Embarassed

I would not miss it for the world. I have a title to defend, and a bone to pick with one Maroon Cortina. It's NOT a Toyota Mad (ha ha not really - I just like to talk it up). But I do come armed..... And I think that there will be some people better prepared to deal with 1 x meddling yellow corolla Laughing

I'd love to be there to show you all what a modded RAV4 can do. It's one step closer to being rebuilt today, it goes in for the work on the block, head, valves and polished crank. I'm looking for a new clutch to put on it so it's all fully balanced when it leaves the workshop. Nod The old clutch was a brass button clutch, which was worn down to the buttons. Shocked This thing would have broken my foot off on changes, so I'm looking for something that's in between stock and brass button.

Looks like that link is working .... the form is a downloadable/printable PDF (Acrobat) file. This will be the first time I've ever taken a car drag racing. Shocked Guess I'll need a tailshaft loop... are open-faced helmets ok for drags? Gotta pop by Revolution Racegear for one. What are typical clothes to wear for a drag race?

Not really a cheap weekend is it. Fuel to get to the event and back, $65 to get into the Show & Shine AND the drags (cheaper for just the S&S) gotta have a T-shirt too.. accommodation...... do we go for an economical room like a family room with 4 single beds, etc.? How does that get worked out? Confused
