What is the most successful way to sell your car ? This can be from experience or whatever
1 Tradingpost ?
2 Carpoint ?
3 Drive ?
4 Carsales.com.au
Any opinions are welcome ! Thanks

I sold my wifes vvti corolla on carsales.com in 5 days. Got a call about it the day after I posted the ad and those people ended up buying it. Cost only 10 bucks for the ad too. I looked at what other cars the same were going for and set a realistic price. I put an ad in the trading post as well but it was sold before the ad was even published, but I didn't get a single phone call from the trading post ad anyway.
Hope this helps.

I don't think everyone is cheapo on toymods,
but everyone is just VERY VERY nit picky..
I guess that's to be expected coming from a car forum and all.

yes they are cheapo schao ... have you not seen the replies ?
".......for sale $10,000 ono........."
"I will give you $5,000 for it"
and this is before seeing/inspecting the car !!! But then hey there are a lot of older cars on the forum and i guess that everyone knows what the market values of these cars are and dont expect to pay much for them anyway.

Been trying to sell my RX7..
for what it is (a mechanically good condition S4 NA, with a nice series 5 exterior, and no rust), I reckon it's a pretty good price...
Had a few people look at it.. picky as anything. It's priced like that for a reason. You can't expect a totally dead straight, accident free chassis with PERFECT paint (like from the factory) at that rate. For a car thats over 20 y.o. you cant expect the interior to be as PERFECT.
I also notice that people will take your "asking price" as the basis of a perfect vehicle. Then, they'd pick out the bad points, and deduct that from the asking price, and ultimately, thats what they'll pay. And for a sports car.. hehehehe :)speaks for itself.
all the best selling the lancer. I think it'll be a bit easier, cause a lot of young ricers would love a vehicle like that. (j/k)
I reckon go trading post.. Shouldnt have a problem there.

Hey Les,
Glad to see Carsales worked for you. Obvously my quick sale wasn't just a fluke.
Always glad to help a fellow toymodder.

my friend put his VL in the trading post. No pic and it still cost him $38. Sounds like carpoint is really good. And people looking for a certain car onlyt have to put it in there search criteria and they see every one of that make that is for sale...
