Legalities of Bigport 4AGE into AE92 ?

I was wondering of the legalities regarding putting a pre 1989 (1988) Bigport 4AGE into an post 1989 > AE92.
Is it okay ? since they came out with 4AGE albeit small port 100kw versions though.
Im in NSW.

i reckon you'd have to ask the RTA or an engineer for that. i cant see it being too easy, from an emissions side of things..
normally it's pretty hard to get an older engine passed in a later car.

Acording to the vicroads website its illegal to put an old engine into a new car. VSI 8 I belive, didnt early AE92's come with blue tops though? then it would be ok ;p

Just say its one of those early jap AE92 4age's? They have TVIS and a smallport head with the 7 rib block?
