Thought i would post a few pics over here of my project 1982 hilux
The last photo shows my girlfirends old 21RC motor in there, i need to thank astroboy007 for letting me get his old 22RE for a good deal, hope to rebuild this and run that, EFI better than carb any day off road
What do you guys reckon, hope to have it all back together in about 6 months
It should have cost me $4000 complete once finished, and so far have destroyed 4 supercheep grinders

i would love a 1UZ-FE but a 22RE will sufice
For those who care
1982 RN46 Hilux
Has, new front spring hangers
Toyota hilux rear springs in front, moves front axle forward 4.5" total including new spring hangers
1985 22RE
G52
Twin transfer cases (90:1 first gear double low)
Has IFS hilux rear springs in the back
Has a IFS rear housing widest in the hilux range (exception to hiace models)
Has 4.3 low pinon rear diff (welded)
Has 4.3 hy - pinon front diff
Will have 38" TSL's
thats a pretty brief overview, i am sure things will change

So will this be a bush pig, rock hopper built for competition ?, also which car uses the 22RE?.

My engine came from a RA65, also came in coronas, RN106 hilux's had 22R, why they put a carb motor in i have no idea
Yes, a rock crawler - this is mate when we had the outerlimits wild weekend

already started on the adaptor for the toyota transfer case to the back of the soarer auto
couldn't help myself

The red one has a welded diff init
i am starting to see the end of the tunnel, even though it is many miles off
the axles are missing because i have am going with 80 series landcruiser, stronger CV's, bigger rear diff, and 9inches wider than a standard hilux
