icon5.gif  Nolothane Bushes Mon, 05 January 2004 02:12 Go to next message
Hi,

I'm interested in getting Nolothane Bushes for my GA61 Celica XX. Where should I go for them? I'm assuming MA61 parts would fit too?

Is there anything else I should look at getting done while the bushes are being replaced?

Thanks.

I recently bought a complete set of MA61 Nolathane bushes from Phil Eacott (Celica28). He got me a pretty good price too. celica28@hotmail.com.

While you're doing the bushes it's a good idea to check the condition of the ball joints. Of course if you want to upgrade your springs and/or shocks this is the perfect opportunity - it all has to come out anyway!

While i'm at it, I may as well replace my brake pads too.

Would the MA61 and GA61 front brake pads be the same?

This is the first time i've looked at doing bushes. Roughly how much would the bushes alone cost? And what other costs can I expect?

Below is some info that I posted before Xmas, but I will try and see if Norbies mate can do a better deal.

If not and anyone is interested in a group buy, the offer still stands

Cheers

I finally got some prices last night, but they are for Noltec Brand (blue in colour and apparently a little more compliant and hnce better for street cars rather than the Red Nolathane).

Dravens list is pretty good, but some of it doesn't apply for MA61's, only suitable for live Axle RA60's (eg 46059, 42924, 42375)

The prices below are rounded up, as my price is due to my good customer history .... Razz

My listing and prices are as follows (Nolathane Part Numbers):

Part Number-----Price-------Description
42915-----------$21.00------Front Swaybar Link
42925-----------$15.00------Front Swaybar Mount
46149-----------$60.00------Rr Lwr Control Arm Inner
46147-----------$67.00------Rr Lwr Control Arm Outer
45087-----------$30.00------Fr Control Arm
48135-----------$35.00------Radius Rod

My total for the above parts is just over $200, but I may be able to get a slightly better price if other want to join in. I haven't priced the rear shock mounts (43002) and Fr Shock upper(42361).

If anyone is SERIOUS, i.e. prepared to stump up the cash for whatever parts, I am happy to pass them on at whatever my cost is (less than what is listed above as mentioned) + postage at cost.

If interested, PM me and I'll go from there

Cheers

Michael B
