hi everyone,
have been hunting around, found a few engines for what seems to me to be a reasonal price. however, i'm now confused on which engine to purchase. i can purchase a 100kw A-GE, a RWD A-GE, or a 20 valve A-GE. which would be the best option for my AE86 sprinter????
i would love to purchase an A-GZE but, will have troubles with insurance, so unfortunately it's not an option. also, with that 20 valve will it fit in my car and is it would it be a RWD or FWD???? are there different models of the 20 valves, cause this one says silver top?? and what colour u think i should get the A-GE 16 valve???
thanx heaps for any info, greatly appreciated

'Best option' depends on your circumstances.
If you want minimum fuss, then the rwd age is pretty much (comparatively) plug and play.
100kw motor is fwd, so a little bit of reworking is needed, but only a couple of kw more than rwd anyway. No TVIS, which some like and some don't.
20 Valve Silvertop means a bit of fabricating / adapting. Newer motor than the others, more economical, more power. You still might have insurance troubles like the 'ze. More effort but more result.
Black top 20v. Not many around, cost a fair bit more, put out more power, and can come with 6spd box- but only fwd, so again more work needed.
For me the standard rwd is enough 'zing'. Others just want the most power. Which one are you ?
