Advice on buying a newer car. Tue, 06 January 2004 06:29 Go to next message
Hi dudes..

i'm possibly in the market for a newer car and was wondering if anyone would have some nice indications on what sort of car i should get

i currently own an 85 csx corolla so EFI is a must and hopefully with a rolla, a 4age (100kw)

price range: $4000-$6500

choices: Corolla (model(?))
Celica (86-87 model?)
Cielo (about 1996 model)
Mazda 323 (Model(?))

Others possibly, i'm not sure..

personally i wouldnt mind owning either of the cars.. my favourite is possibly the cielo because my bro has one and the gears are good and it's pretty quick for what it is...

any help will be great Smile

and if anyone does know i'd also like to know how fast each gear is or can be at what rpm?

ie. my csx: 1st: 45k/hr at 6000rpm
2nd: 70-75k/hr at 6500rpm
3rd: 100k/hr at 6000rpm
4th: 150k/hr at about 6000rpm
5th: 170k/hr at about 6500rpm (guessing coz it only drops about 400rpm from 4th to 5th)

thanx in advance
