i used to belt the top of the dash in my car when the lights went out on the cluster...used to work for me...

what about fuses...or do they use the same fuse as the tail lights?

is the fuse blown , i thought that the fuse was the same one used for the tail lights or brake lights . i once had one that the dash light fuse , whichever one it was kept blowing , after changing the headlight switch and resoldering another one , pulling apart the car , tracing all wiring , i worked out that it was a faulty brake light relay { which isn't on the wiring diagrams } it was internally shorting causing the postive side of the dash light to melt a wire behind the drives side fuse kick panel . Remember that the dash illumination is negative , the postive is a constant in the circuit to . Also i hav seen allot of stereos installed using the postive to the heater control lights as a power / ignition overloading the wiring and fuse . i think the negative is a green wire from memory .

Best of luck ...
