ignition system on carbed 4ag

heres the deal, im building up my 2nd sprinter. using a small port 4ag on carbs. and heres what i need help with.
ignition.
the main thing im stumped on is how to advance the curve. ive found some msd and crane modules, but if i were to go to that expense, i might aswell get a 20v and programable efi. other than that i thought i could retro fit some old dizzy with vacumm/mechanical advance. anyway would love to hear some ideas.
ive had a dig around in old threads too, seems you can get a jaycar kit you can build up that will give you a 2D programable ignition curve. do you think this will do the trick? id love something that is somewhat 3D and senses load, but i know i might be asking a bit much.
does anyone know of any affordable ignition only computers out there? perfect power did have one, but it seems theyve stopped producing it, and havent replied to my mail (yet).
any ideas will be greatly appreciated. cheers.

awesome, 2 replies already, and i posted this at about 1 am
had a look on the delta site, am about to shoot them off a mail, but before i do, what sort of sensor/trigger does the 4ag use in the dizzy? i know its denso, and if i had one infront of me i could probably work it out, but i dont own a (another) 4ag yet.
cheers guys.

Yeah, i've got a custom made scorcher distributor on my 4AG. It runs to a Jaycar transistor spark box thingy. Keeps the points clean, yes, very early scorcher, they will build a new one now, high volt system, for around 400+
I was going to go the jaycar programmable box, but my dad bought the scorcher before i could tell him not to. It would be nicer to have a solid state ignition.
I don't have any vacuum advance, so fuel economy and part throttle could be improved a bit.

Some more ideas, If you can find a k-series dizzy with a electric module, you are half way there, I don't know what revs a stock k-series would go to though.
Or you can always run the 4AGE computer sans injectors, apparently this works ok, and i wouldn't see why it wouldn't work. You'd need to adapt the tps and somehow get a steady vacuum reading for the MAP sensor. Nothing too difficult.
