boost problems

hi jsut wondering if any one can help me with this one.
i just installed a hks FCD on my gen 1 1ggte. so now when boost goes past the previous cut out point of about 11psi through to 14 the car stutters and chugs just like when you hit a speed limiter...
ne understand?

I may not be right, but if the FCD has been correctly installed it sounds very much like ignition breakdown. My car had exactly the same problem which was solved with the replacement of the ignition leads. The change was dramatic, as the effect had been as if I was hitting a fuel cut/rev limiter. I had tried everything and the replacement of the leads was the last resort. You can source leads from TopGun for about $87. If this is the problem can you please let me know.

yep either an ignition or possible a fuel problem.
check plugs, maybe fouled etc. Check fuel filters too.

that or its pinging its ass off / turbos surging screaming SAVE ME SAVE ME as your pushing it well past its design limits at 14 psi

hmmm i see, well perhaps it may be a combination of both of those. i think i might try the new leads first though, its worth a try.
