Well, It cost me just about an arm and a leg to get it. I saved every single penny and starved at times Sad to make sure it was going to happen.

To all it cost around $900 (less now from exchange rate) in the country and now fitting is around $400 from Quotes (drive in drive out). So all up around $1200.

The diff is made by Detroit and this one is the 7.5" Torque Sensing for 27 Splines Diff. Very Happy
Apparently it was designed for the front of the 4-Runner...

This is a helical type LSD, it doesn't have pinions in the same sense as a conventional diff.

As it so happens, I have an MTEU for sale complete for not very much (certainly way less than that True Trac!).

Ahhh yes but the side gears are also called pinions

http://www.tractech.com/docs/DetroitTruetrac.pdf

i know for the 9 inch you can get a four side gear version

If that was available for G series 8 inch i would get it over the jza70 3 sidegear/pinion version
