 Truetrac Diff Arrived!

My Truetrac from the US as arrived just this morning 
Now I have to go to a diff specialist and get it fitted.
I'll post pictures of the package later.
I'll let everyone know how I go...

Well, It cost me just about an arm and a leg to get it. I saved every single penny and starved at times  to make sure it was going to happen.
To all it cost around $900 (less now from exchange rate) in the country and now fitting is around $400 from Quotes (drive in drive out). So all up around $1200.

Yeah, suppose so with the 5M-TE... Just waiting for some parts (whole conversion) to come up for sale

The diff is made by Detroit and this one is the 7.5" Torque Sensing for 27 Splines Diff.
Apparently it was designed for the front of the 4-Runner...

do thay offer 4 pinion versions in the 7.5 and 8 inch sizes?
and how many side gears does yours have?

This is a helical type LSD, it doesn't have pinions in the same sense as a conventional diff.

As it so happens, I have an MTEU for sale complete for not very much (certainly way less than that True Trac!).

Ahhh yes but the side gears are also called pinions

i know for the 9 inch you can get a four side gear version
If that was available for G series 8 inch i would get it over the jza70 3 sidegear/pinion version

depends really if its still in the irs housing and what ratio it is ect ect
