Here are some pics of my 2's. Got the red '89 NA in Sept 2001. 2 years later, got the white '88 SC Import in August 2003. Got ripped of severely by the importer... Sandgate Autos at Sandgate Newcastle NSW... DO NOT USE THEM. Gonna sell one of them soon but I can't decide which one!!! When I first got the NA NA with mags New SC Crazy Wing!!! Both my babies... The SC was set up by the previous owner in Japan for drift... (go figure on a mid-engined car????) I thought the NA was tight when I put King Springs in it but the SC is just solid... i mean it does not move/bounce at all (TRD springs). So really they are totally different cars. At the moment I still like the NA for chuckability. I've still got to get rid of severe understeer on the SC. Actually both have chronic understeer. At present the SC is not making boost... that is what I mean by ripped off... unaware it was like that when I bought it. Once I get through the Department of Fair Trading Tribunal to see if the dealer is gonna replace for me or not I will know whether to stay SC or go turbo or make it a Track car, drift car or show car... or sell it and just import my own!! ! ... from my experience SANDGATE AUTOS ARE DODGY IMPORTERS... Nothing wrong with that STR8 2.8
he's covered himself quite well, with 'my experience' and "COULD RIP YOU OFF" there is obvious records of the poor performance of their sales which gives him reason and truth behind his statements. The only problem however small could be with the line "WILL PROBABLY BE SECOND RATE GOODS" the probably is speculation. And could be considered Defamation, as with only one encounter with the company (as far as I know) he has no basis to form the assumption that they have a record of shonky deals. But with good (documented) motive behind his statements nothing should come of this.
