Definately and the time for posts to be entered is terrible. Sometimes I wait for 2 minutes before I press back and refresh and the post is entered even though nothing happens when u press post.

I think you'll find its the ad server or something like that, happens from time to time where the ad server craps itself and the page only displays once it's given up loading.
I'm on cable...its not just you

this server <ads.qnix.com.au> was timing out on every page for me
if you stop loading after a few seconds you get the page minus the advert and sometimes some of the icons
has happened in the past? is it a toymods server or something managed by the hosting service? maybe they need to write a smarter monitor script or get their DNS to handle stale queries for it so it doesn't bog down over page load, or ... could the forum php code include a monitor section that replaces the ad server include with a standby advert of the ad server is dead?

Yeah, I had that problem too..
I think it's the server, cause I've got ADSL that is reliable as, and it still went slow.
Oh wells.... It's good to remind u that there is life outside the forums
