I did a really shoddy and quick PS job this MA60.. in my opinion, perhaps a pair of xb gt/xc cobra vents would look better..but thats just me.

Sorry if the pic takes a while to load

Sorry about the shoddy workmanship, but c'mon it was 2.30 in the morning (it looks like they are stickers or something Confused )

yeah i have found two..im trying to achieve cool airflow into the engine bay...as well as the pipe mods im doing to it...all those gt bonnet vents will do as well will force air into where my air filter is, if in fact i dont need to cut a hole in the bonnet for a shaker

looks like im gonna take my 7m bottom end out to machine it and shit too...the head is just too good to put on an old block surface...i'd post a pic but i dont have any page to do so. Rebuilders did an excellent job on it.
Should i paint my block too??? Razz

Regarding the vents, if i dont decide to buy them, ill give you the fella's number ed.

painting is fun, but not essential. i just did it a bright colour so i could see leaks etc on it easily.

re block machining... you realise that the whole thing has to come apart to get the deck machined. that means a bare minimum of a hone and new rings, or at worst an overbore, new pistons and rings. and while youre there, might as well do the rod and mains bearings...

starts to get out of hand doesnt it Razz

ultimately, i dont want it to shit itself in the next year..the ma61 needs to be going perfect before i even look further into the ma70. IF i need to. so that means doing everything properly now. I want it reliable enoguh that:

-It doesnt overheat in 40" traffic - i put thermos and a big rad in.
- i can drive it 1000km to visit family in dubbo in one day.
- I can drive it everyday to/fro work - 45min each way

ACL for everything

trimetal bearings
chrome top ring set

they are the only company that makes a decent set of rings for the 7m. hastings are another, but their perfomance rings arent a stock item in australia *mutters* - though yau can order them for the US.
