Ive recently come accross a nice pair of falcon gt bonnet vents
heres the link, people give some DECENT feedback...can someone with photoshop transplant them onto a drawing of an ma61 for me pleaase??

only thing to consider then is cutting all the ribs in the bonnet

painting is fun, but not essential. i just did it a bright colour so i could see leaks etc on it easily.
re block machining... you realise that the whole thing has to come apart to get the deck machined. that means a bare minimum of a hone and new rings, or at worst an overbore, new pistons and rings. and while youre there, might as well do the rod and mains bearings...
starts to get out of hand doesnt it

sure does mate. Well here's what i planned to have done.
Hone Bores
DEck block
New piston rings
New big ends
new gaskets
Ed, can you tell me what piston rings and big ends you used, and where from and price??

ACL for everything
trimetal bearings
chrome top ring set
they are the only company that makes a decent set of rings for the 7m. hastings are another, but their perfomance rings arent a stock item in australia *mutters* - though yau can order them for the US.
