Hi Guys,
Well as you probably know my 1973 TA22 Celica affectionately known as the "Porn Car" by the club has gone to it's new owner  She will be sadly missed.
She has however had her car space filled by a new celica relative. Meet my 1977 RA28 Mustang Celica...this will be my new project. It is very much stock at the moment. This will not be the case for long.....look out for her at events and cruises

Ooooh, very nice!
Where'd you find that?
It'll be good to see what you & rod can do with a bigger engine bay, I cant wait to see whats on the menu enginewise. 
Hehe, in the meantime, it will be fun rubbing in the 18R-Cs inherent lack of power.

Teenz - That looks very, VERY nice indeed!
Must have been a really good find. 
And just remember.. The sooner it gets it's new powerplant, the sooner Rod can start "developing" the drivetrain again.

I don't suppose you want a slightly ratty 28 for spares? ask Rod if he remembers the car I offered him over 3 months ago... it's still sitting in my driveway here at home,hoping to be sold.

Where did i find it - well a very good friend knew it was coming up for sale and asked his brother to keep it for me.... As for rubbing the 18RC's lack of power - enjoy doing that for only a very short time - I can assure you....

Hehehehe, Rod is banned from touching, modifying , unless under consultation with me, or even driving this car. He has his own baby and now it is time for the Girls to show how it should be done. And also show Rod how to keep a car in ONE piece...

Cool, you are right it would look great, the long term plan is to have to car up to show specifications. The first change is DEFINATELY the engine tho. It has a little rust - but it is almost 26 years old. I will have it at the repairers soon enough to get the bits fixed.

Nice thought - but the RTA won't let me.....
As for having a feeling that Rod was up to this, we are both pretty sneeky when it comes to cars....He is getting all the nice cars but this one is definately mine...hahahaha - I know he would like it but - TOUGH!!!!
Keep an eye out for a post about the vehicle that he acquired last night - we are Crazy - I was just thinking we have just bought 3 Cars in 3 Days......

Why is the 1UZ-GTE conversion not allowed??? Too much power for a lightweight car or what???

As for the Cross Member - all that means is that the engine has a front sump....
