Hi all, I have an 82 RA60, I was wondering what diff it is running the plate says its a T312.

Ok now i know what it is meant to be in the car, but how do I tell what diff it is?
I checked the brakes and found that the axels are from a wrecker.

Should have told us this at the start, makes it hard to answer your question.
Find another RA60 in standard form and get underneath and see if you have the same diff.
If you want to check your diff ratio, count how many times you can turn the driveshaft in relation to one turn of the wheel. It will be most likely 3.9 or possibly 4.1.
