1GGTE Manual Conversion Fri, 09 January 2004 04:45 Go to next message
I have a GZ20 soarer and I really want to convert it to manual, does all the gear from the GA70 supra swap straight over, and does anyone know where I can source all of these bits?

Get a W57 or a W58, they bolt straight in. Some I think have different set back shifters. I don't think sourcing a manual ECU is neccesary, but I do have a spare one. I think that the clutch cylinder from GZ/MZ/MA's are the same also. However, don't quote me on that. Most good Toyota wreckers/importers should have these gearboxes.

yeah there is,

you will need to get a clutch slave cylinder, clutch lines, flywheel, clutch and a w58/7/5 with a belhousing to suit 1g

and the shifter postion is important,

There isn't a GZ70. If there was you could say it was a Soarer with MA70 body panels, like Onevias or Sileighties. I've seen a few MA70's with Soarer front panels. Very interesting ride.
