AW11 tacho install

Guys
I have a tacho that I would like to install in my AW11.
Can anyone explain which wires go to where? It is an Autometer. I dont have any instructions.
Also, what type of wire/s should I use to complete the connetion. As they have been chopped to 6 inches long out the back of the tacho.

 Martin, there is a black wire that goes from the ignitor to the tacho. that will be your signal wire to the tacho, you should be able to tap into it up front there somewhere if you can find it...
might have to pull the instrument cluster out, fun fun.. 
it's been a while since i put a tacho on anything, i dont know the wire colours of the Autometer sorry.
i have never put an aftermarket tacho on the feral, the original one does me fine. 
the same guage(size) wires that are coming outta it should be fine to use.

in yr diagnostic connector in engine bay theres an ig terminal
thats yr rpm signal
run wire from it to green wire on tacho
other wire on tacho are
red is 12v ignition
black is earth
white is lights
