identifying 13b 550cc injectors Hello, I'm purchasing some 550cc 13b injectors. Not sure if they are series 4 or 5.
Just wondering what ways I can identify them so I know for sure what I am buying?
I have a multimeter so I can test the impedance.
I have also heard that the series 5 uses a different plug to 4.
Anyone know colour codes or part numbers of each?
Thanks very much, Joel

Early series 4's are pink tops and low impedance.
After that they went to red top high impedance units.
Unsure of the plugs, but the series 5's have the same plugs as 1J injectors.

my red tops have a plug with squared off edges, with a raised 'spline' on the outside top of the plastic plug boss, same like the 3TG injectors, except the spline is offset to one side rather than in the middle. make any sense? the impedance is 12-14 ohm
email me to remind me to check the part number tomorrow.
I have flow tested them at 545 cc.

*back from the dead*
So if the S5 rx7 injectors are high impedance (550cc? I think), could you use an additional 2 injectors on a 1jz-gte which already has 6 high impedance 390cc injectors.
I have seen a US spec supra run a 10.6 @ 135ish mph with the stock fuel system. So 6 * 550cc = 3300cc
I was thinking (6 * 390cc) + (2*550cc) = 3440cc
This should supply enough fuel for some crazy power.
Of course, an aftermarket ECU would be used. (not sure on type)
what do you think?
