5m-ge wiring diagram - please help!

G'day
I'm in desperate need of a wiring diagram for both the 5m-ge and 5m-e motors. If you have one or know of where to get them, I'd be very grateful. Basically I need to know how to hook up the transmission that came with the 5m-e to a 5m-ge computer as the plugs are totally wrong.
Thanks
Glen

Ed: you didn't have any luck with the plug pinouts did you?
Thanks again

Hi, Just a bit of an addition to this thread which got me thinking.
Looking at running an auto 5M-GE in a MS65 crown with 4m auto(now that i finnaly found a motor) using the original slush box. Will the computer need tricking or just the usualy inhibitor type hookup to function? Im going to assume that the wiring will be similar to early 4age?
Cheers

So you're using the MS65 auto transmission? That doesn't have any electronic control (well I very much doubt it) so the computer has nothing to do with it. Just wire up the engine and ignore the wires that go to the transmission, it will run fine.

I didnt think that the 5m-e auto had any electronic control?
I thought it was an A43D, and the 5mge was an A43DE, the E meaning electronic control.

I should have been more specific. The 5M-E auto isn't fully electronic but it does have some electronic control, specifically for the overdrive lockout and engagement of the lockup torque converter. Both of these ECU outputs can be safely ignored if you're using a different transmission.

thanks for the link, and the help its awesome,
As things have turned out i can get a fairly bare 5mge for 100bucks (no loom comp/afm) or a complete 5me for 150 bucks.
And the guy is chucking in a 84 supra auto. Not sure if this will bolt up in the old ms65, but hope so as the orignal is pretty average condition.
Anyway, the guy that has the 5mge has some 5me comps and looms, will these run the GE? Otherwise may consider puting my old link on it, but only as a last resort...
Cheers

Yes a 5M-E computer will happily run a 5M-GE or even a 6M-GE (I did this about 4 or 5 years ago in my MA61). There are a few things you'll need to do to make it work but it's pretty simple stuff. If you do a search you'll find all the info you need, we've discussed it here a few times before.
