OUCH No-one wanted the things at all 12 months ago. I picked up a replacement 1G for around $600 then.
Now while I'm here - what do most of the 1G people run their 1G's at/with? I'm at 1bar and using a Super AFC with stock computer (this is in a Z20 soarer) Anyone done a high flow or single turbo conversion and got it running streetable - I'm talking good cold start, idle and AC control too. Just some ideas of getting more grunt in my daily driver without too much compromise.
I dunno about the rest of you but I have trouble finding any info on powering up a 1G beyond boost and exhaust and 'cooler.
Can anyone help? Or should I say stuff it and slot a 1JZ in there?

depends if your car has an engine bay that will fit a 1JZ, of course that's the way you should go but if you've got a celica, the 1JZ is ... imagine trying to pass a whole pineapple in a bowel movement. it's painful, take a long time and a lot of effort, and at the end of it you have to patch up all the problems it caused

Oh, I've got the room alright for a 1JZ, the Z20 Soarer is effectively the same chassis as both the 60(?) series cressida and 70 series Supra.
The problems I see are losing the niceties such as climate air-con etc and all the re-wiring hassles with changing the CPU's over.
I know that ultimately the 1JZ is a superior engine, but I'm not after a 13 second car.
I would be happy with 200-210kW up from stock 160kW or so from the 1G with full accessories.
Anyone know if I can do this with high-flowed stock CT12's and super-AFC or am I on the wrong track here? (I've got the exhaust already and will probably upgrade the 'cooler too)

What year is your engine? Do you know which gen engine it is? Check the Tech Articles section for an article on how to tell the generations apart...
What mods have you done to it? Exhaust? Air filter? Bleed valve?
