why do 87 - 96 toyota camrys crab they all look like theyve been cut and shut by some bodgy panel beater in a backyard with a angle grinder and welder. if you ever drive behind a camry notice how the car does not look straight the right side rear end sits approx an inch off the front

He means the front wheels arent parallel with the rear wheels, like the rear axle is bent.
I think its either a common fault (maybe design) with Camrys, or its an optical illusion.
Wheels did a write up of the 1983 Camry, and it crabwalked

most people negelect wheel alignments which causes crabbing.
i've seen plenty of cars doing this if you look hard enough. not specific to camry's thats for sure.

Oh!!! now i understand what they meant about crabbing, yeah, its a good thing to get wheel alignment every time you change a tyre, or it can use the tread unevenly and can make the car handle worse in some cases.
thanx for clearing that up, Grega

Oh i get what you mean now, well my car dosen't crab snice everythime i do tyres or suspension i get a wheel alignment.
I haven't looked at the positioning of the wheels, so if i haven't noticed it must be minor/nonexistent.

Sometimes when a car has been in a major accident, it warps the chassis, it will crabwalk regardless of how much you align the wheels. In that case, the car needs to be bolted to a jig that will pull the car back into line over a couple of days. I have seen some, where the car is so wonky that you can see the wonkyness it in the roof.
Don't know if this helps

Yeah thats true, we had to have that done to our forester when my mum reversed into a ford, it was low speed but it took like a week to fix the chasis, was like 3k worth of damage.
