Warcraft 1 (the original and the best)
Red Alert (first ever full version ever owned, in box)
Gran Tourismo 1 (first played using Bleem on PC. Was a wee bit slower but I'd still race well)
Settlers 2/Commandos 1 (ahh the memories and late nights)
Halo (xbox - undefeatable. Willing to give anyone a lesson.)

I was pretty unimpressed by halo tbh.
just finished it on pc the other day - although I guess the delay in coming to PC didn't help... especially with HL2 around the corner

have to say Ive had some pretty cool LAN battles with starcraft and mates.

if you include pinnies then ive spent a fortune on Daytona - still want one for when I get a house.

P.S havent got starcraft anymore...anything thats as good as it but more recent? was thinking of warcraftIII or C&C generals...what u reckon?

hmm, yeah im a fan of age of empires for sure too, forgot about it tho. what army do you guys play? i go the japs, so i can have samurai, i do karate you see Razz

i have halo on the xbox, you know, i thought it was pretty shit too, the levels are ridiculously repititive(<-did i spell that right?) and so are the enemies, however, multiplayer, well, that initially seems crap too, but me and ryley immersed ourselves in it for many months. personalised the charaters and had so many battles in the cars it wasnt funny. just have matches where you both get in the car and barrage each other and try to run one another over. itll blow your socks off haha. jk. its aight.

YES! How good was stunts!?
I made a track once that was basicaly just a big circuit right the way around the level with those tilty corner things and this kinda, funny jump thing. Anyway, got the F1 up realy realy fast, then hit the jump. I like, flew up so high I couldn't see the ground anymore... then I fell and fell and fell.

It was so funny.

Oh oh, and X-Wing and Tie Fighter! X-Wing was fun, but Tie-Fighter was really the ultimate for me. X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter was a bit of a letdown... the game play had been changed and I didn't think it was as good.

Oh and Battle Of Brittan! I loved that game back in the day.

As for Halo, I didn't think it was so great. Sure it was an alright FPS, but it wasn't anything that PC hadn't really seen before. It isn't even as good as Doom2 for crying out loud!

yeah, HALO is all about Multiplayer. As I also finished the missions very quitckly. They were too track like. (stuck on a train track, just need to follow it and shoot everything on the way)

Starcraft and War2 were also great, but I went with the first one for memories sake. Even though I've spent at least 10times longer playing the more recent two. even years after they'd both come out. (like a 3ppl lan session two months ago)

ps, anyone played Rage Of Mages 2?
also Transport Tycoon has no Equal !

ive noticed a few votes for starcraft on this thread..

time to hijack thread :
I lost my copy of starcraft, and am refusing to buy a new copy (theyre still selling it ...can you beleive that) beceausee they want $50 for it still.....$50 for a six+ year old game!!!!

so is warcraft 3 or c&c generals as good as starcraft.....I can tollerate buying a "new" game.

tell me pleeeeeease!! Smile

I'm re-playing doom 2 at the moment. Very Happy Just up to tricks and traps on Ultra Violence. My brother just clocked Doom2 again. Smile

I know one to add to my list.
X-Com: UFO Defence!
Appart from some buggy programing, that game was totaly awsome! From setting up bases to intercepting those UFOs to landing and having the satisfaction of retreiving plenty of elerium 115 from those pesky Aliens. Very Happy My brother invented a good tactic. Go in with laser rifles, and just flatten the entire level. They can't sneak up on you if there is no cover for them to sneak from. Evil or Very Mad Takes a while but it's great against some of the harder aliens (like the later Snake men). I hated terror missions and Alien Bases... I tried to take them out before it got to that point.
Oh the memories.

More fun over a LAN, i got bored playing by myself because it didnt compare to the LAN experience.

It should run fine on your PC just with grpahics at about half and turn shadows to either low or off. If you have the PC to run it the shadows/lighting in the game are very cool.

Quake 2
Gran Turismo 3
Diablo 1&2
Topspin Tennis on the Xbox

Actually Top Spin is probably number one for me at the moment, if you have an xbox I highly recommend getting your hands on Topspin it is by far the best Xbox game out there and an absolute tonne of fun with some mates.
