leaking oil, gearbox or engine???

hey my car is leaking oil the oil when i have the ca up on jack stands is coming from the back of the engine (the plate which connects the gearbox to the engine) and from were the hole in the gearbox is to turn the clutch on and off.
also when i checked the gearbox oil it absolutely stinks, and the oil which is dripping does not smell.
i think it is coming from the rear main seal just want to get some more opinouns before i pull the g box out.

Yep, rear main seal. If you want a cheap repair, install a speedy sleeve and new rear main seal.
