Here's some more progress pics of the Cressida. I finally got all the intercooler piework sorted out, and all of it was free from SSS.
I also picked up an intercooler through ebay, from a guy who is starting a 'cooler business. The cooler's core is 600x300x76, 790mm wide from inlet to outlet, bar & plate, & fits perfectly into the Cressida, and for $630 was cheaper than any second hand GTR item I could find.
This is the guys email if anyone else is interested in an intercooler. He was really helpful, & I'd recommend him to anyone.
Ugur.Ozturk@uts.edu.au
The only thing left now is some 3" to 2 1/2" reducers for the 'cooler, and a few hose clamps, then the wiring & a new battery.
The 'cooler's nice & stealthy, but gets no air flow, so it'll get some bumper modification. The numberplate will be changed for streamlined or moved to the side.

The stock 1JZ airbox bolts in after it had a bit of trimming done to the front of it.

The intercooler & thermo fan fit comfortably.

Here's the piping each side.

And then with the headlights inplace. All it took was slight enlargment of holes for the wiring loom & a reroute of the wiring on either side.

All the rest of the pics are here:

is it the UTS guy that did it?
i need to get my piping modified, i might give him a call... i was going to let toysports do it as i was really happy with the way they did my stainless intake piping, but if this guys cheap i might give him a go.
looks like its comming on great.. good luck with the rest of the project

A couple of bits are plastic, a couple are rubber, & a couple are steel, I did it all with odd bits picked up from SSS. The UTS guy just supplied the 'cooler.
