hey i had my exhaust system put in today and have noticed the speedo cable is very close to and sitting above the exhaust pipe. i havent had a chance to have a close look yet but was wondering if anyone has had/solved the same problem.
will the cable handle being pulled over, otherwise in a search i noticed people mentioning speedo cable elbows ?

	yep my speedo cable is mucho burnt as well. I even specified to the dodgey exhaust guy to make sure they do something about the speedo cable so it wont melt. They said yeah no problem, we'll secure it.

i picked the car up drive it home, lo and behold, half melted speedo cable. grrrr!

i just folded a small piece of zincalume and tack screwed it to the underbelly of the car.

zincalume = tin roof ?

plain aluminium should be good for getting rid of heat too right?
