Are there any known replacement compressors that people have used instead of the original 18RG.
Same for bracket assembly to bolt onto head.

Cheers

I'm searching high and low for the same thing. It seems that spares for Air Con mounted onto an 18RG are impossible to get.

If I can get some original 18RG Air Con brackets I could probably get a hybrid mount cast that would fit a Compressor from an 18RC onto an 18RG.

my g/friends father ended up welding/fabricating a mount out of mild steel rather than attempt to locate a factory item.

you're only bolting to four points on the compressor and from memory it attaches at three points on the head? you would also have to fabricate an idler pully mount. you could probably adapt the adjuster mechanism from an 18RC aircon for this.

choice of location of adjuster is yours - but idler pulley will be safer location (if you wear the bearing out in the compressor it costs you a lot more than another idler pulley.
