struts length on a ra40

have recently put a ra40 diff and struts into my ta23 and the steering seems be out. Both front wheels face inwards. I have used the ta23 control arms. Are the struts different lengths between the ra40 and ta23. if not why do i have this problm

Have you had a wheel alignment?
Ive put RA60 struts and lower control arms into my AE86, the lower arms I used were of the power steering variety and thus had shorter steering arm/nuckle.
The tie rods needed to be adjusted outwards to make the wheels sit on the right angle, sounds like you have a similair situation!

RA40 struts are longer than TA23 ones.

how would i go if i put the ta23 struts back in put used the ra40 discs and calipers. would that be alright.

No, everything is different. Your best option is to have RA23 struts shortened and go from there.

arent ta23 and ra23 the same so arent the struts the same?

No. TA23 has the same running gear as TA22, including brakes and suspension.
