MA61 KYB shock offical info Thu, 15 January 2004 05:54 Go to next message
Well after dealing with the runaround and no firm answers i rang and spoke direct to the NSW distributor (Roadsafe at Giraween) who, although isn't meant to deal with the public, was kind enough to help me out.

Both the #365001 and #343042 shocks are no longer in stock, not will any more be imported. NGK had bought out the import license and deemed that 1/4 of (at least the Roadsafe) stock was not a "big enough" (profitable) market and as such no more were being imported.

Bottom line, import your own or we are limited to monroe or Konis.

Yeah they are only stopping the import on 'cool' cars.

If yours isn't deemed cool enough, then the supply remains.

Well that's SHIT! Two questions:
1) Where would we be able to import them ourselves from?
2) How much exactly are the Koni's?

I'm starting to wish I'd got different shocks... I got the "standard" KYB's (all I could find) and they're not firm enough for my springs... the car is a bit bouncy for my liking. Sad Oh well they'll do for now until I can afford some damn Koni's. Stupid lack of money.

The yanks seem to love their Tokico HP's with their new springs and they bag out the KYB's.
