Camber adjustment

Ok, well I'm looking into camber adjustment now (have sa63 struts in mx62) as I'll be lowering the car shortly...
As I see it I have two options
1: Adjustable strut tops
2: Adjustable lower control arms
How exactly do I modify the lower control arm to make it adjust the camber (anyone have pics / approx price?), and how much camber adjustment will be possible (a wild guess will do...). Also what is rose jointing, from what I could find its replacing the rubber bush with a metal / metal fitting....(can anyone explain this better / have a photo :S)
Also what other cars have a strut top with 100mm bolt center to center? (ae86?)
Cheers

Adjusting the camber from the lower control arms is usually acheived using camber bolts in place of the regular bolts which attach the control arm to the crossmember. It's an eccentric bolt so as you turn it it moves the position of the control arm. Note that this method will have an effect on the track width, so be aware of wheel clearance. You may not have a choice though; generally speaking you don't get much movement from adjustable strut tops, and in your case it may be insufficient.
Another method is getting the struts bent. Apparently this is pretty common in racing circles, but I'm not sure if it's technically legal on the street. Not that anyone would know!

i take it you have enough negative camber and dont want more after you lower it?
camber plates are probably easier, you can get the lower control arms replaced with adjustable ones, but im not sure how expensive they would be.
roll centre adjusters would keep the camber the same, and maintain "proper" suspension geometry, i'm a bit concerned about this, as i like the amount of camber my car has at the moment (from lowering it) but when i fit RCAs all my free negative camber will dissapear. oh well.

Well I have the SA63 struts (with MA61 stock springs) in now and have 0.3 +ve on the left and 0.3-ve on the right I guess I'll wait and see what it is when I lower it, then maybe get a strut bent to fix it so they are the same...norbie do you know how much your camber changed when you lowered yours?
I inquired about an eccentric bolt for the lower control arm and was told one wasn't available
Also I was planning on getting RCA's so that will bring me closer back to what I have now (and I'd like 1 -> .6 or so -ve camber)...
Cheers

In line with what Norbie is suggesting, I have a variation on the eccentric control arm bolts, only my chassis mount was drilled out and an eccentric bush installed to move the hole outward. Fairly easy mod and effective if you only want a modest change in camber.

This idea I like, how expensive was it?

I had my struts bent by pedders suspension. they are licensed to do it legally but i dont know yet how reliable this method is. i had +.06 L and +.06 R now i have -.25 L and -.55 R. It made a big difference.

when they bend the struts, I'm guessing that they have to take them out of the car?
I'd like some form of adjustably really tho...

you can bend them more, they wanted to but i wasn't keen. They don't need to take the struts out they just take the wheels off.

Sorry I can't give you a price as it was done before I got the car. I wouldn't have thought it would be too expensiveas as they would be a really cheap part to buy/make and it would only take maybe an hour tops to install. Plus an alignment of course.
