 Best place to get a (cheap) respray

You guys know any good places for a respray? My budget is about $2000. I want to get my RA28 redone dark purple or black.
One of my mates told me about some place in Station st Granville where they train mechanics/panelbeaters where i could get it done for $1000?? Anyone heard anything about that?

there are some real dodgy places in melbourne that do it for 800.
They don't bother to remove anything from the car. Just prep and spray. Also they don't do door wells, or boot wells.
You'll also get a lot of overspray around your black trimmings too..
but you get what you pay for.

"Handbrake turn" i think its called.
Its kinda like a TAFE apparently. Which reminds me... my dad's a tafe teacher... i'll have to get him to have a chat with the mechanics/respraying department...

thanks mate appreciate it my mums a tafe teacher aswell i think the only problem wid them doing it is if they stuff up they dun fix it!!!

well....... ill charge around $1500 - $2000 for a full respray including booth hire etc call me on 0415 741 427 p.s from what i believe im pretty good sprayed 3 show cars :/ 2 that won best paint

Wow that sounds awesome. I'll definitely keep you in mind when i save up to get it done.
Plus of course there's some surface rust that's bubbling the paint which'll need to be scraped out.

no problem a bit of work with the grinder and a small amount of niki should fix it :0)
