Strange noise in a ST185CS	Fri, 16 January 2004 19:11

It make a strange noise like grruuurrrrr when i am accelerating and there is boost. When the car is at stop and you step on the trottle there is nothing to hear. it comes only when accelerating... Hard to explain.!! Any ideas. Do not think that it is the gearbox because there are no noise in neutral.?? [Report message to a moderator]

hole in the exhaust ? who knows - not a very clear explaination , Mines got a gurr nouse but thats only cause the resonator underneath has shat itself .. Plus ive also got rid of the airbox resonator so it makes a bit more indiction noise .. [Report message to a moderator]

The noise source is found and stopped. There were missing three nuts that holds the turbo and the manifold together. [Report message to a moderator]

man that sounds oddly familiar mine was missing 3 bolts too! ( all fixed now ) [Report message to a moderator]
