how to hook up air/fuel gauge on 7mgte?

hey all,
got an autometer air/fuel ratio gauge that i would like to put in my mk3.
can someone tell me what wires to go where, the gauge it self has 3 wired, earth, power, and the purple one that goes to the OXG sender right?
its a 7mgte, is the sensor on the dump pipe right? the 3 wire one? if so what one of those wires do i put this purple one too?

Hey, Yeah the sensor on the dump pipe is the one to connect it to. Is your sensor 3wires or was that a mistake coz my 7mgte O2 sensor only has 2 wires? 1 wire is the ground and the other is the signal wire, you gotta work out what wire is the signal wire and connect it up 2 that...

get a multimeter out and see which one is 12V, which one is Gnd, and which one is the signal wire. Signal wire should read 0-1v when hot. splice your gauge signal wire into this one.
alternatively, get a pinout diag of your ecu, find the Ox pin, and splice your gauge in here (less wires  )

i dont have a multimeter  how about one of those test lights with the earth clap and the pointy end u put in the wire and it lights up.
wil that work?

got a wiring diagram?
just figure out the wire colours if all else fails
otherwise: splice in at the ecu Ox pin

Hey, Forgive me lord for I have sinned... Yeah my Oxy is 3 wire 2 my mistake. Ill be looking into the wiring for this as im in the process of hooking up my aftermarket computer so ill let you know what I find.
