Do I have TEMS? Sat, 17 January 2004 11:07 Go to next message
My frount suspension is buggered and I am wondering if I have TEMS or not and what I should do to replace them?

I have a 1992 Soarer and on top of the shocks under the bonnet it says "ELECTRONIC MODULATING SUSPENSION" (or something like that) and there is also a small computer on the side. I was at Unique Autos last week and they said I can either get $100 shocks from Toyota or be up for all sorts of money if they actually are TEMS. Can I disable the TEMS if I do have it and just get the $100 ones?

Thanks

TEMS shocks are suprisingly cheap from Penrith Toyota last time I checked. Give them a call and talk to Mark Emerson.

Thanks heaps guys. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and work out a way to get them shipped here.

Are they anything out of the ordinary to put in? Or will a Mr Nobody suspension person be able to do it?
