Comparing early 2m heads to late2/4/5M (square rocker cover) & 7M.

The 2M early (non EGR?) head has 9 bolts on the exhaust manifold. The late 2 and 4M has 10, the extra at the rear of the engine, with extra casting across something (EGR?).

Reason being to try to get extractors to suit. 9 bolt pattern is the same but just doesn't cover the end. Question, do extractors to suit the other heads cover the EGR? or do they just stop at the 9th bolt or do the cover the EGR outlet just blanking it off.

Does anyone have or know if they can be bought off the shelf or have someone who will make for a realistic price (not $1100 to 1600 quoted)

I have extractors for sale to suit the early head. Hurricane used to make extractors to suit the early head (square port), and Genie made late head (round port) extractors. Not sure if Genie are still in existence.
I'm suprised they are quoting you $1600 - my mandrel bend headers (mild steel) for the 2JZ were less than half that.

On my 5MTE, I just got the EGR holes welded closed.

$100 (+ postage/freight)? Will get pics of these as they were modified to suit a Corona Mk2 and have some manky welding. They may need to be modified back to suit a Crown - may interfere with the drag links.

When could they be in Sydney? Same answer as the carbs - as soon as my sister goes back to Newcastle and stops getting pulled over in my car. Mad Then I can get to work on the VVTi project.
