Hi all,
I am searching for a RWD 4A-C Alternator to suit my AE86. Must be the type to take an external regulator.
Don't won't to spend too much as I am planning on selling the Sprinter shortly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Have a FWD 4AC alternator in Sydney. How do I tell if it's internal or external regulator ?

should be a little attatchement on the rear of the alternator. The regulator should be able to be unscrewed.

That will only apply if he has an aftermarket alternator like a Bosch. The original ones are Nippondenso's and will be labelled either internally or externally regulated - their voltage regulator cannot be removed without opening the casing. I have a few kicking around too if you need one

Mine's a Bosch and has a black piece (about the size of a thin matchbox) held on by two screws. Painted silver rather than bare aluminium so might be a reco'.
