NO NEED TO SHOUT please

try here for a start dude.

and yes LN130 hilux calipers do bolt up, you need a dba F272 rotor turned down to 266mm and the bolt holes in the hat drilled out to 13mm.

also speak with fook - he is putting XT130 struts and hilux calipers in his KE55.

Re: HELP ON BRAKES Tue, 20 January 2004 23:34 Go to previous messageGo to next message
thats better
Very Happy

the f272 rotor is 273mm in diameter, whereas when you bolt the hilux caliper to the xt130 strut, the stock xt130 rotor is only 266mm in diameter.

if you bolt the caliper on it will then foul on the f272 rotor.

so you machine it (in a lathe) down to 266mm same as the xt130 rotor and its all good.

i have also read about removing 1.2mm off the hat of the disc but don't know if its underside or topside this needs to occur. my plan is to use a washer to space the caliper out correctly (remembering the hat holds the rotor to the hub - i don't want to weaken that area)

if you're in VIC i can get you these rotors (supplied new) and machined down - let me know.

shorten the bogwarmer diff to TA22 size, weld on ta22 mounts to diff housing, shorten the tailshaft, get a 4.11 ratio crownwheel/pinion set and away you go...

no need for anything toyota then with this conversion. also have to use the donor cars' handbrake cables to suit.
