ok so i got myself some gt lenses the other day. i dummyed them on to check everything fit then put the orange ones back on to go get some orange globes. did that, but then discovered that they had offset pins, and further found that all of the globe manufacturers only make orange globes with the offset pin, as the only car that they believe uses them is late model commodores.
so, do toyota themselves sell the correct globes or what? just thought i would ask before goin all the way to the nearest toyota dealership

The clear GT lenses you are talking are not meant to show orange! They are the park lights. On the GT the indicators are where your park lights are now.

yes indeed peter the wiring is easy - there are bullet connectors just behind the lights which you'll be able to swap
IF you can't source the orange lenses for down the bottom, you can get a lense paint which you can paint the inside of the lense with to make it orange. its $10 for a tiny bottle but very very good. this is what i intend to do (due to the rarity of the orange lenses)

or just dip your existing light bulb in paint, i can't remember the right sort off hand (acrylic maybe?) but one of my mates has done it before and the light bulbs have lasted to this day (over a year ago)
