4age, 4ac and they also had 1.4l motors (dont know the engine type)

The Ae82 TWINCAM's have the 86kw 4age (blue writing at the top, also some of the later ones have red writing, but still have TVIS, and are 88kw i believe, just a later version)
But yeah the CS and CSX usually just have either the 4ac or the 2a/3a (i think)

Yea I am going to buy an AE82 CSX, I'm unsure what the engine is tho, I couldnt find any writing, I saw some on the side of the head, but i couldnt read it properly when I was looking at it.
Its SOHC, so it looks like a 4A-C maybe, dunno, apparently its 1.6L so most likely.

If it's the original motor in the car, check the compliance plate on the top of the firewall near the windscreen. Look for the letters 4A-C or 4A-GE or similar if not 1.6 litre. Should also give your transmission type (C50) and plus paint and trim colour.

SE, CS, CSX = 4A-C motor, C50 gearbox
Twincam = 4A-GE motor, C52 gearbox
