we just put in a red top tvis out of the ae82 into an ae71 and used everything from the rolla and it will idle and everythings fine but it will not rev(ie if i snap or slowly open the accelerator it will die)(leaning out).
the injectors have been done so that rules them out.
im thinking it has to be fuel but dont want to start changing things for no reason.
anyone had this problem

Hey Brad,
Sounds like you might be running on the cold start injector and the main ones aren't kicking in.

If you look inside the mouth of the throttle body there is a hole on the bottom on the firewall side. That should be sucking heaps when cold and slowly shuts off as the engine warms up. It makes most of the sucking noise when you first start and if you block it off slowly with your finger the revs should slowly drop. Is yours sucking ? (so to speak )
