I've managed to round the nut.

Any ideas on how to get it off?

1) Angle Grind it
2) Weld another bolt to it
3) Rattle Gun it

if its rounded, rattle gun won't help.
can u use a chisel and *tap* it off?

or try a set of vicegrips - that will help get it off.

failing that grind flats into the nut and find an old socket to bash on there and try that?

I'm not sure what nut your talking about, but if you have a welder just tac a nut/bolt to it and do it that way! This will save a bunch of time!
