Hey,
Well i woke up today at the sound of my alarm of my 87' supra and went out and no one was around, so i ignored it. Went out later and my front right hand door and quater panel have been really pushed in with heaps of missing paint. It's gotta be one of the most depressing sites, i have only had the car for just going on 3 week's and spent most of that time buying car care products and spending my time polishing it and cleaning it inside and out, and then without any control it gets fucked.
On the up side the guy left a mobile number as i think i know which home the car came from. It's been all day and haven't been able to get through though. Any ways, poor poor supra, been around to some panel shops and some of thoughs guys are soo dodgy, so if any one in canberra knows some guys who do really good work, let me know. Thanks
Layoric.

The days of going around to places are dead all you have to do is the following:
1. Get in touch with the person that crashed your car and get their details. All their details. License, (full name, license #, address, etc). Get their car details, rego plate, type/make/model/year.
2. Get the story straight of what happened.
3. Ring your insurance company and make a claim, (you don't have to pay anything if you're not at fault), and give them all the details they ask for which will be all of those above.
4. They'll either then give you a choice of place to take it to be repaired, or you can choose. The repair should either be warrantied for 5 or so years, or life depending on the insurer.
5. Enjoy being without a car for several weeks as it gets fixed. Or you might get a hire car free, again, depending on insurer. But if you're with nrma, expect nothing those f'n c's.

Well ... you're damn lucky the guy left his details ... otherwise you'd be screwed.
If you've only 3rd PP insurance, his insurance company should still cover your costs if he's at fault.
If you're with Just Cars Insurance, the company will pay up to $3k up front to cover your costs whilst they recover from the other party's insurance company in the meantime, even if you only have 3rd PP ...

Only if you can get his name, address, and a letter of statement claiming that he did it to you...
I think if you claim the 3k amount.. you may forfeit your right to get the full amount of damages.. but I could be wrong.
PEACE and PROSPERITY
