7m timing...quick help!

Im putting the timing gears on right now, and im wondering why the toyota manual says there are supposed to be pins in the end of the cams for the gear slots to go into. Mine have none - neither of my heads had any pins in them 
Can someone lend me a bit of know how here? Should i make pins and put them in or????

ohhh dear there are ment to be pins there thay are only held in by the bolts that also hold the cam gear on, just get some from toyota probably wont cost much *fingers crossed*

i made two pins...
it is fucked...neither of the heads i own came out with pins in them!!

i got some from toyota recently, they were only a few dollars
